1. What’s new in this app compared to the previous version?
The new Rishta Nata app includes all the features of the previous version, but it’s now more user-friendly and interactive. Applicants will complete a detailed profile by answering a series of questions, which helps make the matchmaking process more personalized. An algorithm is also used to suggest compatible matches.
2. I’m already registered with Rishta Nata. Do I need to register again on the new app?
Yes, all users must register again on the new platform to use the updated features.
3. Is this a downloadable app or web-based?
Currently, it is web-based only. You can access it by visiting rishtanata.app on any browser using your phone, tablet, or computer.
4. Is this app only for members of the USA Jama’at?
Yes, at this time, it is only available for members of the USA Jama’at.
5. Will I still be assigned a Rishta Nata representative after registering?
Yes, every applicant will be assigned a facilitator from the department who will guide and assist them throughout the process.
6. How are parents involved in the process?
Parents or guardians are included in the process. Their contact information is collected during registration, and they will be copied on all communication and activity related to the application.
7. What is the verification step and what happens after that?
Before you can begin searching for matches, your application must be verified by your local Jama’at leadership. This includes the missionary, Sadr, Rishta Nata secretary, Amoor-e-Aamma secretary, and relevant auxiliary heads.
This verification process can take a week or two and if you don’t get verified after two weeks let Rishta Nata know. Once verified you can begin searching for a match immediately.
8. Can I select multiple matches?
You may view profiles of as many candidates as you wish but can only engage with one at a time, through our facilitators. Your facilitators can also suggest matches to you.
9. Can pictures be shared on the app?
No, the app does not allow photo sharing. However, once two individuals are matched, they may share pictures privately outside the app if they choose.
10. What is the purpose of the personality questionnaire?
The questionnaire helps create a complete and well-rounded profile of the applicant, which supports better matchmaking and compatibility analysis.
11. Can I still register using the old system?
Yes, for now, the old registration method is still active. However, using the new app is recommended for a better experience.
- How does this filter process work on the new website? I am not seeing any potential matches after specifying via the filter.
Once you see a list of available matches, you may filter based on certain fields (education, height, age etc). If you don’t see potential matches after applying a filter, it means there are none available for your preferences.
